History

poster 2001

The following year we performed as our second play "Dangerous Liaisons" by Christopher Hampton, the stage adaptation of the novel "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" by Chaderlos de Laclos.

short summary

The evil heroes are the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, who brought their cynicism into a highly developed and with artful manners equipped form of (in)human expression. They prepare devious conspiracies in order to destroy the lives of their less calculating environments. They provoke themselves into even more malicious manipulations. When the Vicomte detects the fact that he is afflicted from genuine feelings to one of his victims, the Marquise regards this as the ultimate betrayal and plans her heartless revenge.

realization

We performed the play in a timeless way. To portray the contrast between good and bad, the costumes were limited to black and white. Therefore we arranged the scenery as a chessboard.
